Me and my sisters had it all planned. A fun photo shoot with our girls and lunch afterwards. This family is DOMINATED by boys who all went to the movie. Who'd want to do that on such a GORGEOUS spring day? I was excited to get out in the warm weather and shoot (with my camera) all of these beautiful girls and just have a fun day.
I kept thinking about all of the fun shots I was going to get with Emmy. She can be quite the poser when she wants to be. We had planned to do this several weeks ago, but had to cancel due to icky snow. Em bugged me every weekend about doing the photo shoot and seemed really excited that the day had finally come. And then we got to the park......
All of a sudden, it was like a switch flipped and went from happy and excited to ornery and uncooperative. She suddenly wasn't in the mood. I've known all along that girls are moody - Emmy especially - but I had never seen her do this. I couldn't even get her to look at me. I don't know if she got shy because my sisters and her cousins were all there, but they were busy shooting their own girls. Whatever the reason, she completely REFUSED to let me take pictures of her and it turned into a huge cry fest - for both of us. I'm still trying to figure out why I was crying, but I don't think I've ever been so mad at her in my life!! I tried to just take pictures of my beautiful nieces, but I just couldn't concentrate. I was MAD!!!!! I mean, I know that girls can be like this, but it's different when you're in the moment. It was seriously like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide. HELP!!!!! Is it going to get worse when she actually hits puberty????

That one of her back toward the camera? You have such a knack for taking pics perfectly!
Sorry to say this, but just you wait! (grandkids make it all worth while though) I think blogging helps moms vent and see that all moms go through the same stuff, and it's normal-don't let it get to you.
